Jonathan Aragon came to United Baptist Church of Laredo in August 2013. Before coming to UBC, Jonathan served as the Worship Pastor at First Baptist Church, Duncanville for 14 years. He also served as the Associate Director of the Music Department for the Baptist General Convention of Texas from 1995 to 1999 and is a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary
Jonathan is married to Kathryn Aragon and they have two grown children: Rebecca and Michael.
Associate Pastor of Youth and Missions
Tommy Crocker came to UBC on July 1st, 2015, after 10 years in Rainbow City, Alabama, as their Minister of Youth. He and his wife, Ginger, also served as IMB Missionaries to Bolivia for 4 years.
Tommy and Ginger have 10 children and 4 dogs (so 14 children in all…).
Jonathan Almanza was born and raised in Laredo and is married to the love of his life Maria. Jonathan has been serving as co-worship leader for the last 9 years. The Lord called him to full-time ministry along time ago, but two years ago he answered that call and began his Master’s program at Dallas Baptist University (DBU) in Worship Leadership and Student Ministry.
In January of this year, the church called Jonathan as our full-time Minister of Worship.
Maria also serves on our church staff and together they have one daughter, Amiliana, who is obviously the center of attention at staff gatherings.
Siomara Hernandez (Pastor’s Ministry Assistant) –
Siomara and her family joined UBC in 2005. She became Church Secretary in 2011 and now serves as the Pastor’s Ministry Assistant. She attended Chaffey Community College in Southern California, where she earned an Office Technologies, General Office Assistance Certification. She has also worked in business administration, personal business, retail and real estate.
Siomara and her husband, Ricardo, have 4 grown children. You’ll find her supporting various areas of the church, including children’s, youth and missions ministries.
